In 1958, We, Solar Co., Ltd. had technically tied up with ACME PAINT in USA and started to supply “Rubbing Compound” for the first time in Japan.
Since then, Solar Co., Ltd. as a pioneer of Japan, has developed abundant products of ingenuity and originality for a half century.
At the early stage of the auto body coating industry in the world including Japan, lacquer paints were in the main stream and coating layer was rather soft.
Therefore rubbing compound was also designed for the soft coating and it also contained rather soft abrasive particles.
However, as the acrylic or acrylic urethane paints had appeared and developed in the industry, coating surface increased in its hardness and soft abrasives could not cope with it satisfactorily. Thereafter, we have developed and promoted sales of “Twinkle Super Series” which contains very hard abrasive particles to correspond with such hard coating surface derived from the acrylic or acrylic urethane paints.
Thereafter, as the new type of auto paints have been applied in the industry which had superior anti-scratch effect , we have developed “Coreda Series” which have stronger abrasiveness and excellent finishing touch ,both of which are well balanced.
And very recently in 2010, “Poliup Series” was newly developed, which are highly focused on short time operability and can achieve both brilliant gloss and excellent finishing touch.
We, Solar Co., Ltd. have been supplying high quality Rubbing Compound under a
thorough quality control through raw material procurement inspection, manufacturing
process including mixing, emulsification, dispersion, filtration, filling and
product delivery. In recent years, as one of the chemical products manufacturers,
we are also challenging the environmental sustainment by means of developing
petroleum-free products.
Sales Record
Through a half century operation since establishment, our Rubbing Compound has been sold to and used in the body repair shops in groups, subsidiary and contracting repair shops of all the Japanese car manufacturing firms including Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Matsuda, Isuzu, Daihatsu, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Subaru and so on. Also bus and lorry manufacturers including Hino, J-bus and Mitsubishi Fuso have been long using our Rubbing Compound.
