It has been over 40 years since Solar Co., Ltd. started to supply unsaturated polyester putty in the latter half of the 1960s . We have been maintaining the leading position as a pioneer in Japan and continuously focusing on responding to users needs by means of developing contemporary products of the each decade. Thanks to you all, Solar Co., Ltd. is proud of its top share position in the Japanese auto repair industry.
Thereafter, Solar Co., Ltd. had developed unsaturated polyester putty which has air contact curing nature, and it enabled direct sanding work on “No” tacky surface and work efficiency was dominantly improved. However, since the anti-rust steel plate started to be applied to the auto body so that the life of cars can be elongated, new problem occurred that the blisters of spread putty from the steel plate were frequently observed. Thereafter,
we, Solar Co., Ltd. have repeatedly developed newer types of unsaturated polyester putties which had superior adherence to the anti-rust steel plate.
At the same time, unsaturated polyester putty mixed with hollow balloon particles has been developed to decrease in weight and increase in sanding efficiency. In recent years, for the purpose of weight reduction, the high-tensile steel plate has been used for auto body fabrication and consequently the steel plate has become thinner and thinner, a fault of steel plate warping has been frequently observed and claims were raised at the time of repair. Therefore,
Solar Co., Ltd. has finally and up until now, developed the newest unsaturated polyester type putty, which has the minimal volume reduction effect when it is cured in order to cope with the thin plate warping faults.
Our production facility of Kasai Factory in Hyogo prefecture can adjust production volume from a score of kilo grams to tons of scale to cope with the various volumes of purchase orders.
Product packing style also widely varies from tubes (aluminum and plastic) to containers ( tin, pale can and steel drum) to cope with small quantity filling and up to large volume filling.
We hereby promise with you all to supply the most reliable products under complete control system ( quality, process and delivery) from material receiving inspection, input (material input with automatic scale), production process (mixture, dispersion and air bubble removal ) , filling process (filtering, automatic weighing & filling, and automatic packing ) and the product delivery.
At this moment, we are challenging to lessen environment loads by developing new products
which applies less environment loadable materials and also challenging to satisfy the more customers by means of developing the more work efficient and the better finish quality products.

Through a half century operation since the commencement of putty production,
Solar Co., Ltd’s putty has been sold to and used in the Auto body repair shops in groups, subsidiary and contracting repair shops to all Japanese car manufacturing firms including Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Matsuda, Isuzu, Daihatsu, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Subaru and so on. Also bus and lorry manufacturers including Hino,J-bus and Mitsubishi Fuso have been long using our putties and they are totally satisfied with Solar’ s quality.
